Ian Peacock

Background and experience: Ian is a qualified coach-mentor working independently as an Executive and Team Coach with a special interest in coaching across cultures. Ian spent the early part of his career working in the City of London. Subsequently he moved into the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry where, after a short period, he switched from Finance to Human Resources. Progressing to Human Resources Director of the UK business, he served on several committees of the Chemical Industries Association including the Employment Affairs Board.

His career has taken Ian and his family twice to Germany, firstly, as Vice President of Global Management Development with Hoechst Marion Roussel in the pharmaceutical sector and, secondly, as the Global Head of Human Resources for Bayer Polymers. During the course of these assignments he was involved in many aspects of talent management, team building and, working with virtual and multicultural teams of many nationalities.

Ian has 15 years’ coach-mentoring experience.

Ian continues to follow the game of rugby which he played for 25 years and which he believes taught him much about team work.
Areas of expertise: Ian has taken a special interest in working with individuals to help them to achieve their goals. He works with senior executives to help them:

  • Identify and clarify their objectives
  • Develop appropriate strategies and plans
  • Maximise their potential as leaders and managers by adopting appropriate leadership behaviours and styles and, by developing their self-awareness
Ian’s range of work also includes (global) team facilitation, behavioural change, change management, cross-cultural working, leadership and communication skill development, and improved self-awareness.
