The Starr Certificate in Coaching for Managers

Run in conjunction with Starr Consulting, The Starr Certificate in Coaching for Managers focuses on coaching within a typical leadership or management role and blends coaching into a natural leadership style. Delegates will gain core skills in coaching through a mix of classroom learning, self study and practical application in the workplace. Over the course of 4-6 months, individuals will receive tuition on both a group and one-to-one basis. A total study time of approximately 50 hours builds learning in a way that caters for all preferred styles.

Accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) at Foundation Level, delegates gain a professional qualification that makes a difference to their typical leadership style. Coaching skills become "life skills" that support everyday communication and influence. Specific areas covered include:

  • Developing better rapport
  • Focussed levels of listening
  • Effective purpose based questioning
  • Giving constructive feedback
