Job Profile

Main purpose of the job

  • Manage all Ofsted and any other internal and external quality assurance processes for apprenticeships
  • Provide support to the apprenticeship administration team by being the ‘go to’ person for queries
  • Become the Safeguarding and Prevent Lead for Apprenticeships and ensure all appropriate training and monitoring is completed for our own team, our employer partners and any subcontractors
  • Establish networking with other training providers to share best practice
  • Support the development of apprenticeship opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Coordinate the apprenticeship journey from recruitment through to End Point Assessment completion for open apprenticeship programmes
  • Account manage selected in-company client relationships as required by the maintenance, monitoring and development of successful partnerships 

Key areas of responsibility

  • Follow up on the first monitoring visit from Ofsted and ensure all action points are implemented
  • Follow up on the Prevent Risk Assessment Report and put in place all agreed actions
  • Ensure Safeguarding and Prevent policies are being implemented by all employees and organise training where required
  • Attend some training network meetings and identify the best networks for The OCM to be a member of
  • Comply with all internal and external funding bodies requirements for the recruitment and enrolment of apprentices
  • Ensure evidence can be provided to prove English and Maths skills have been developed during the course of the apprenticeship
  • Ensure safeguarding checks are carried out and recorded with any subcontractors
  • Ensure we achieve a minimum of a “good” Ofsted grade when we have our first full Ofsted Inspection
  • Provide information and guidance to any interested clients as required, be they individuals or organisations
  • Liaising with Marketing about any success stories by providing regular updates of positive outcomes
  • Deliver ‘Awareness Sessions’ to key clients to provide clear information about the Coaching Professional Apprenticeship Programme
  • Liaise closely with the MD of Apprenticeships on the planning and recruitment of new apprentices to meet key performance targets as agreed by the Executive Team.
  • Lead on the coordination of the apprenticeship support team to maintain and deliver high quality apprenticeships programmes which has all the correct documentation in place
  • Establish an effective reporting system to show progress and results on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver ‘Induction Webinars’ to new apprentices if and when required, to ensure a high standard of onboarding take place.
  • Be an ambassador for the Coaching Professional Apprenticeship programme and the ‘go to person’ for any questions about apprenticeship processes.
  • In addition to the above areas of responsibility, the position maybe required to undertake any other reasonable duties relating to the broad scope of the position.

Person Specification

Essential requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years working with Apprenticeships and a good knowledge of all the processes from enrolment to EPA, including experience of managing Ofsted inspections
  • Excellent level of communication skills, including making effective online presentations
  • Excellent Project Management and IT skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, proven by their experience working across both private and public sectors
  • Ability to work on their own and be self-motivated
  • Will need to be DBS approved

Desirable requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of Professional Coaching and/or Mentoring
  • Account Management experience
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Lives within a 2-hour radius of Oxford

Employment Terms

  • This is initially seen as part-time position working 60% of FTE (22.5 hours) but may go to 80% (30 hours) if workload warrants it.
  • These hours can be worked flexibly to suit across Monday to Friday
  • The FTE salary will be between £32,000 and £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • The role will be home based and the successful applicant must have a work station set up at home.
  • There will be a need to travel to visit key clients on occasions, so must be prepared to travel as and when required.
